Who is responsible for your data
IrelandFans acts as the data controller for personal data processed through this website, within the meaning of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Irish Data Protection Act 2018. IrelandFans lists creators from across the island of Ireland; if you contact us from Northern Ireland or elsewhere in the UK, the equivalent protections of the UK GDPR apply to your request. What we collect
We collect only what you choose to send us: the name, email address and message contents you submit through the "Contact" or "Add profile" forms. Browsing the directory itself requires no account and no personal details.
Why we process it
Form data is processed to answer your enquiry or to review and manage your directory listing — our legitimate interest in operating the directory, and the steps you request before and during a listing. We do not sell personal data and we do not share it with third parties for their own purposes.
Cookies and the age gate
The site sets strictly necessary cookies and local storage — for example to remember that you have confirmed you are 18 or over — plus basic, aggregate visit statistics. You can clear these at any time through your browser settings.
How long we keep data
Enquiry messages are kept only as long as needed to deal with them. Data connected to a live listing is kept while the listing remains published and is deleted after removal, unless a legal obligation requires longer retention.
Your rights
Under the GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018 you may request access to, rectification or erasure of your personal data, ask us to restrict or object to processing, and request portability. Send any such request through the contact form and we will respond within one month.
Complaints
If you believe we have handled your data unlawfully, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Data Protection Commission (DPC), Ireland's supervisory authority for data protection. We would appreciate the chance to resolve the matter directly first.
